About Our Project:
At Centerplate, we observed their current system and fully evaluated its operations. We concluded that their system is outdated and not as efficient as it once was. In order to increase efficiency for the company’s location we have created a whole new database system. From their old system they loss track of a lot of things. It wasn’t organized and they had a big loss in potential profits because of there current system. They lost track of where their products were in the multiple buildings they had at the Jones Beach Location. They also didn’t have a good track record of when products expired, which was damaging because they would have to throw out a lot and spoil it. They also had problems in figuring out how much to order or how little to order.
So, they would have to much of something and it would go to waste or too little and have nothing, and in the end, they loose money both ways. So under our analysis of the company we determined and went over as many flaws as we could see and developed a brand new system. We believe this system will not only make things easier for the company but it will also help the company save a lot of money and better their daily operations.
